Testing Center Grand Opening

Carine Umuzayire, certification programs administrator, and Monique Riviere, director of Byte Back IT Academy and First Time Technology, welcome A+ student Jarreau Anthony to the new testing center.

In the past, most A+ Certification Program students trecked up to Rockville, MD to take their two certification exams. They arranged transportation, made the journey, and then stood in long lines at the testing center there, adding extra stress and nerves on test day.

Byte Back is pleased to announce the grand opening of our very own in-house Pearson VUE-Authorized Test Center at Byte Back IT Academy on Benning Road NE. Our new testing center has already made the testing process easier for our A+ students.

Jarreau Anthony was the first student to take his A+ exam there Friday, June 12. He took the second part of his exam and passed, earning his certification! In the next month, Byte Back will test about a dozen A+ certification students in this new testing center.

Grand Opening 1Byte Back staff will be able to immediately see students’ scores, helping our staff and instructors track student progress.

Byte Back IT Academy has the capacity to officially test students for all of the certifications we offer – Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), Internet & Computing Core Certification (IC3), and now A+.

This launch was a true team effort by staff Andrew, Carine, Carl, Jonathan, Monique, and Sammie. Special thanks to our A+ student interns who assisted with setup, making the hands-on computer lab installation a part of their education that will help them pass their exams!
