Dear Friends of Byte Back,
As of 2024, Byte Back has ceased operations and is no longer in business.
Although this is sad news, we are proud of Byte Back’s 27-year history and legacy of success. Over the years, Byte Back has closed the digital divide for thousands of adults from historically excluded communities. Hundreds of our graduates have launched successful living wage careers and become part of the growing digital economy. We know that digital equity and education makes a difference – in a 2019 study of our graduates, they earned approximately $23,000 more per year on average than before receiving Byte Back training.
We’re excited to share that Computer CORE, a respected nonprofit based in Northern Virginia and closely aligned with Byte Back’s mission, will be expanding their services into Washington, DC and Maryland. To support this expansion, we have entered into an agreement to transfer Byte Back’s training materials to Computer CORE so that they can carry forward Byte Back’s legacy of providing digital access and workforce training in our region.
