A Message from Keith Clark, Board Chair
As many of you know, last July Kelley Ellsworth told us that she planned to step down from her position as Executive Director of Byte Back. Kelley’s last day as Executive Director was Friday, March 20, but she will be assisting Byte Back in its development efforts over the next several weeks.
Kelley’s contributions to our organization and her community are immeasurable. She came on board in November 2008, at a very critical time. In the more than six years that followed, the organization has stabilized and grew 10-fold in staff, programs, and funding.
We are indebted to Kelley for building thriving community-based programs that continue to make a real difference in the lives of people in our community. Many of you have been touched personally by her hard work, and we know she would love to hear how much her leadership at Byte Back has meant to you. You can share your appreciation and thoughts by emailing her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our search for a new executive has gone on longer than we hoped, with promising candidates but no final choice at this point. Over the next month, we will make a new push to take this search to the finish line. Please keep us in mind and send dedicated, talented leaders our way.
To help us in this phase of transition, we have hired Barbara Laur, an experienced interim executive. Barbara joined Byte Back on March 2 and will be with us throughout the rest of the transition.
Organizations naturally go through these kinds of changes, and the Board and staff are ready for the challenges, adjustments, and a bright future. Byte Back is doing well, and we are prepared to continue our work in the community without missing a beat.
We share our deepest thanks to Kelley for getting us to this strong place and extend an invitation now to all of you to help us find a strong new leader for Byte Back.
