Juneteenth – Byte Back Closed

June 19

Juneteenth is a holiday when Black Americans celebrate the final emancipation of enslaved people in Texas on June 19, 1865. This year, as we’ve seen stunning protests against anti-Black racism and police brutality and the start/continuation of a new Civil Rights movement, celebrating Juneteenth is especially important.

To commemorate the day, Byte Back will be closed to give staff a chance to reflect, take care of themselves, and think about ways we all will continue to make change at Byte Back and beyond.
