The Store

A Wider Circle’s professional development shop includes a great selection of men’s and women’s professional wear.

These five Byte Back students are graduating from Byte Back and ready to start interviewing for jobs. But before they book those interviews, they needed a wardrobe to match their skill sets and levels of confidence. That’s where A Wider Circle‘s professional clothing shop in Silver Spring, MD came in. A Wider Circle offers so many services to “help people rise out of poverty,” including this amazing opportunity to dress for success.

We took them shopping one recent afternoon to get the professional clothes they needed for upcoming interviews. It was our first trip to this Center for Professional Development shop, and there’s no doubt that we will be back.

We were greeted graciously by two volunteers, who personally assisted our students in finding appropriate clothing, including shoes and accessories, such as ties. Petron Terry, one of the students who joined us, was extremely excited to find a pair of comfortable and professional shoes. Along with this, there was a plethora of employment material around the room, which our students took for later use.

Thank you so much to A Wider Circle for this great experience, and we’ll keep you informed on or graduates’ jobs!
