Students and staff visited The Washington Post for the InnoMAYtion Hackathon, organized by the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development. They were joined by Congresswoman Jacky Rosen.

Besides learning in classrooms, studying at home, and working to pass those Microsoft and CompTIA certification exams, our students are eager to discover the possibilities of tech careers right here in DC. This month, they’ve taken advantage of exciting opportunities with Byte Back to learn about tech careers, network, and become part of the DC tech community.

They also participated in the InnoMAYtion Hackathon (right), where they not only got a free intro to coding and hacking, but got inspired by Rakia Finley, the chief strategy officer at Surge Assembly, here in DC. The event was organized by the DC Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning & Economic Development and was hosted at The Washington Post.
